Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Lieutenant Governor GC Murmu informed on November 18 that the J&K investor summit would be held soon for the development of the region. The summit would help to create job opportunities for the youth of the region, Murmu said while addressing a passing out parade of Jammu and Kashmir Police recruits in Manigam.

Murmu said, “We want investment so that there is development and people get employment. We are doing preparations for the investor summit. We will start the process in the coming days.”

The proposed summit was scheduled to be held in October but was postponed due to a forced shutdown by the terrorists following the abrogation of Article 370 on August 5
