India and USA share values of freedom and liberty, PM Modi said on the US Independence Day

Greeting US President Joe Biden and the people of the USA on their 245th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said the India-US strategic partnership has a truly global significance.

In a tweet, Prime Minister Modi said, "Warm felicitations and greetings to @POTUS @JoeBiden and the people of the USA on their 245th Independence Day. As vibrant democracies, India and USA share values of freedom and liberty. Our strategic partnership has a truly global significance."

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar also greeted his counterpart, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

"Convey my warm wishes to @SecBlinken and the Government & people of the USA on their Independence Day. Confident that our strong partnership, one based on so many shared values and interests will continue to grow further," Jaishankar said in a tweet.

The US Embassy in New Delhi marked the day by posting a video on Twitter, describing the significance of the partnership between the two countries.
