With this, the country’s vaccination coverage has surpassed the cumulative figure of 67,09,59,968. This has been achieved through 70,34,846 sessions.

The health ministry said the Union Government was committed to accelerating the pace and expanding the scope of COVID-19 vaccination throughout the country.

The new phase of universalization of COVID-19 vaccination had commenced from June 21.

The vaccination drive had been ramped up through availability of more vaccines, advance visibility of vaccine availability to States and UTs for enabling better planning by them, and streamlining the vaccine supply chain, the ministry said.

The recovery of 34,791 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) to 3,20,63,616.

Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 97.45%, the health ministry pointed out.
